Product Review:
Best primer HANDS DOWN!! Yup, I said it....and from my chest too!
Okay, so I'm not a heavy make up wearer and admittedly I don't 'fill, buff, contour and polish every morning (I take my hat off to you ladies that do!) and my day-day make-up routine can take anywhere from 5 minutes to an hour. This usually depends on what time I have or been given, either way no matter what after I cleanse and got my tea on my dresser, this primer goes on first. It's like those clever chemists in the make up labs have come up with a true gem! Not only does it not hurt your pocket, rolling in at just £4 and depending on where you get it from, you might even get a piece ah' change and this primer can be used on most skin types.
Me, I have a normal to oily skin type (combination) but this is also due me sweating easily, I can sneeze and my pores start to moisten up and even running through London's over and undergrounds to get into work, by the time I cool down from my "ordeal", the primer resets itself into the dewy goodness it promised. On first application it has a slight tingling feeling, nothing to worry about mind but it's like there's a hint of Tea Tree Oil or an ingredient is in there that gives that impression, either way, intended or not, it feels nice. I wouldn't recommend this to people with excessively oily or extremely sensitive skin as the tingle may react differently and cause an adverse reaction to those cases so check with a skincare professional or an experienced make-up artist if unsure.
Once absorbed and you start to apply your foundation, liquid or powder you'll see/feel that it glides over the skin allowing you to use even less for your intended coverage, there's also no issue if you like to build up your foundation. It doesn't give you that 'caked' appearance or the dullness that you can get when layering your make-up as the oil mixes with your make up giving you the desired glow every woman wants, curvy or not! Usually by the time I'm heading home after work and not on a gym day, I'd normally blot my face with my L'Oreal finishing powder and some lip gloss and I'm good to go without any extra touch up's throughout the day, so all in all ladies it's a very affordable and effective primer for everyday use and I've also been known to using it on my non-make up days and it still leaves your skin feeling and looking smooth and even.
Available at all major retailers, I got mine from Superdrug's in Chancery Lane.
I'll give it a go!
